The People of D'ni

Home Caverns Ages Messages The People of D'ni Previous Page

In order to understand the history of D'ni, it is necessary to understand the people involved from the earliest days all the way up to the present. While many other web sites have covered this information previously, I hope to add at least a little to that body of knowledge.

Much of what we know and are involved with in the cavern today revolves around events that happened in the last three hundred years. The current era of D'ni history can be said to have begun when a remarkable young woman named Anna stumbled upon an unsealed route into a series of caverns and tunnels that lead deep into the earth, and found a civilization there she'd never dreamed existed. However, this era rests on the shoulders of a much deeper body of events that stretches back ten thousand years into the past, and which began with an equally remarkable man named Ri'neref, who lived on another world entirely.

As time passes and I expand on this section of the Hidden Places of the D'ni, I hope to introduce you to some of the people who created and lived in D'ni, those who eventually brought about its sudden untimely end, and those who tried to bring life back to it.
