The Canvas Age

Canvas AgeThe canvas Age is made up of trails winding through canyons. In the canyons the artists cultivated narrow fields of rows of small, sapling-like plants that were spaced about fifteen feet apart.

The DRC found areas in the fields that were pocked with ten feet wide holes that were fifteen feet deep. Some of the holes were filled with water. The holes were places where the last artists to use the Age harvested the plants that were grown there. The plants had enormous tubers similar in shape to turnips.

The remains of some of the tubers were found in a pile with their centers cored out. This was near a machine that was used to pull up the roots, and it still held one of the tubers. The cores were the parts needed to make the paper used for canvases.

The weather of the Canvas Age was moist and foggy with frequent short rainstorms very much like those of Eder Kēmo.
