These two gardens were written during the Garden Age Binge of the 8100s DE, when the government of D'ni was currying favor among the populace. Copies of the linking books for them were donated to the residential neighborhood common libraries all across the caverns. They may have replaced Eder Kemo, which had been withdrawn from circulation.
The two gardens were used by Yeesha for one of her quests, but she chose to make it different from any of the others. The quest is a lesson in cooperation, in which it was intended that eight people would have to work together to solve it. A person known as a "caller", who is skilled in reading the locking symbols on the large gate, directs eight others in pressing journey cloths in the right order. The unlocking code changes every time it's challenged. The gardens form two halves of the quest, and explorers can gain trophy rings for their Relto wells by completing the quest. The journey mark is a spiral for the gardens.
Eder Delin is a serene place located in a rocky depression. While it's cut off from the world around it, you can here the sound of geese and other birds in the air. It's also one of the few gardens located at a latitude that has seasonal variations, and it is covered in snow for much of the year.

Eder Tsogal is very different. While it's also in a rocky depression, it's located in a region where the climate stays warm all year long. It's a grassy place, with several pools of water on the ground and many colorful trees on the tops of the sheer rock walls around it.
